Overview
Cost-effective and time-efficient engineering of complex and sustainable products using a supply chain, demands the support of modern information technology (IT) tools. These tools assist in lifecycle information management and digital product development and testing.
This course aims to address the shortage of high-calibre engineers aware of the potential of, and able to use, IT-based systems effectively during product engineering. The course will significantly improve the efficiency of engineers and streamline communication with both customers and suppliers.
Students benefit from access to a CAD workstation, SAP R/3, state-of-the-art software, engineering server facilities, and CAM facilities.
Course Structure
The MSc course comprises eight one-week assessed modules, a group project and an individual project. Students undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) complete eight modules and a group project. Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) students complete six modules.
The modules include lectures and tutorials and are assessed through written examinations and assignments. These modules provide the tools required for the group and individual projects.
