Our involvement in the automotive sector covers a broad spectrum of activities including system design, the manufacturing process and human factors in vehicles. We have a reputation for relevance, focus and excellence. Our academics work with their counterparts in industry and commerce, and many have commercial experience meaning they fully appreciate the pressures, deadlines, sensitivities and commercial imperatives and are able to prepare you to be of immediate value to employers. For many years we have been involved in teaching and research across the sector ranging from automotive engineering to motorsport management. The university is equipped with many top class facilities, high performance wind tunnels, impact test centre, advanced joining and composite fabrication facilities. The long standing relationship Cranfield has with the industry means that we are supported by and work with some of the biggest names in the field including Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan and Morgan.
