The Mountbatten Institute is a not-for-profit organization that administers paid, one-year internship programmes in New York for enthusiastic and skilled young graduates. The mission of the Mountbatten Internship Programme is to foster international and cross cultural understanding through experiential education, practical training and residence abroad and to provide opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
Since 1984, the Mountbatten Internship Programme has provided hundreds of university graduates with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the high-powered business environment of New York City - giving them a chance to expand their horizons, perspectives, and friendships. All of our interns are recruited and interviewed by our own staff, mainly in the UK but also in Sydney, Australia and in Bangkok, Thailand.
We send overseas graduates to New York twice a year, in March and September. Interns work full time for their Sponsor Companies but commit to part time study throughout the twelve months in order to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Practice.
