University Profile

UCL (University College London)

University College London (UCL) is the largest of over 50 colleges and institutes which make up the federal University of London. These institutions range in size from small specialised institutes to large multi-faculty colleges, such as University College London (UCL), King's College, and Queen Mary and Westfield College, each of which can be compared with many universities in the rest of the UK. University College London (UCL) was founded in 1826 with the aim of opening up education to wider social groups than those permitted into Oxford and Cambridge.
