Since its inception in 1964 as Napier College of Science and Technology, Napier has progressed from College to Polytechnic to University in 1992. The University merged with Lothian College of Health and Scottish Borders College of Nursing in 1996 and now offers a full range of nursing, midwifery and health courses.
In addition, Napier has a long tradition of working closely with business and industry to ensure that its courses offer the kind of skills and training demanded by employers - substantiated by a consistently excellent track record for graduate employment, currently at 95% in employment or further study within 6 months of graduating.
