Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University was formed from the amalgamation in 1970 of the Nottingham Regional College of Technology and Nottingham College of Art and Design. Nottingham Trent University previously Trent Polytechnic, in 1975 merged with Nottingham College of Education to become the third largest polytechnic in England, and in 1988 became Nottingham Polytechnic. In 1992, the polytechnic was granted university status and was renamed Nottingham Trent University. Today Nottingham Trent University offers a wide range of higher education courses.
